the best moon

OK, so...  my friend's camera couldn't really do this justice, but this moon looked like a sun.  It is the best moon I have ever seen.

OK then there is this...  herbs and vegetables in a huge supermarket:

This is me getting Tacos.  Here in LA there are trucks everywhere.  It's a kind of Russian Roulette the first time you go there because you could get food poisoning.  My friend Amelia did the dirty work and took me to a nice one:

And check out this nice parking sign:

And here is me pouring cream from a cow shaped dispenser:

Last night we went to the beach and then we went to In And Out which is a burger place here.  They have a secret menu for local people in the know.  I had a double double animal style, which means it has a special sauce.  After I finished my fries I noticed there was suggesting bible reading on the bottom of the box.  Anyway, after that we went home and drove along Hollywood Boulevard and listened to The Smiths.

I met a guy named Blake who's grandmother designed this dress:

He has a dog named Hope:

And I went to a library and they had an ostrich:

So much for blogging

I should blog more but I've been busy soaking up the sun here in LA.

People here don't seem to know the difference between Europe and England, which is fine.

The striking thing here, I think, is the faded colours. Everything looks like one of this instagram filters.

I met the guy who plays trumpet for no doubt. That was interesting. I gave him two cigarettes. Almost no one here smokes. I go out to smoke and I'm normally alone.

I went to a rather interesting event: live streaming of the Olympics with an improvised live soundtrack from some bands. I went outside to smoke and some guy asked to bum a smoke and then gave me a plastic jewel in exchange for the Marlboro I have him.

All the roads here seem to have been made into songs. Yesterday I was on Hollywood and Vine.

LA

Last night I arrived in LA.  My friend Amelia took me to a diner in Hollywood where I ordered eggs and sour dough. It was delicious.

Then we went to Mulholland Drive.

The house I'm staying at has a lot of old guitars - Rickenbackers and Gibsons.
